Pussy willow is iconic across many continents being signifcant in North America, Europe and Asia. Seeing the bright wooly buds come alive during the seemingly endless winters of the great white north are a pleasant site to see and creates an aesthetic use for this plant beyond the obvious benefits of biomass production, pollinator support, and living fences. Think of willows as the temperate northern version of bamboo, but a bit easier to control.
